Overview

I am currently working with an exciting international company who are looking for a Lead Data Engineer They are a data driven ecommerce business providing equipment and solutions to customers across Europe. The office you would work in is based in Glasgow and will include some travel to their other offices in Germany and the Netherlands. Key responsibilities include: Design, build and maintain the data architecture for the central data platform Transferring data to the data lake from multiple sources Data handling and data analytics Building robust ETL processes Creating data models Machine learning and data mining Occasional international travel Essential requirements: Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or other quantitative-focuses field Experienced working with Alteryx and Tableau Programming experience with SQL Good knowledge of Python In-depth knowledge of data structures, OOP, design patterns, development standards and testing and clean coding standards Experience with Linux Strong Data Analytics skills This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company who are passionate about data and be involved in a variety of interesting work.
