Overview

Our client, a sector-leading employer based in Central Birmingham , is currently recruiting for a number of Rewards & Job Evaluations Officers to join an established project team, on a fixed-term contract basis for two years. The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The salary is in the region of £27,000 - £33,000 , negotiable based on experience for this position. The ideal candidate will have proven experience of job evaluations processes, or a background within the public sector. Duties will include (but not limited to): To provide pro-active support and advice and guidance on all aspects of employee recognition, including talent management and succession planning, HR policies and legislation, and relevant pay and conditions throughout job evaluation reviews Support the Reward & Recognition Manager and Senior Job Evaluation & Research Officer to research, review and develop job evaluation methods, maintaining and analysing data when necessary Coach management on talent management and succession planning techniques, with a focus on increasing candidate attraction and retention Fulfil organisation wide job evaluation for terms and conditions of employment, ensuring the consistent and robust application of JE schemes to maximise transparency and minimise risk of equal pay claims Support the Reward & Recognition team to advise, consult and negotiate people management matters with Trade Unions to build effective working relationship Demonstrate an awareness of key strategic and policy issues and act in accordance with organisation values and behaviours Experience required: Background within the public sector Experience of leading Job Evaluations Skills, knowledge and expertise required: Knowledge of complex and varied terms of employment Skilled in utilising job evaluations process and methodologies Rewards and Benefits: 28-days paid holiday Salary sacrifice schemes Flexible working Family-friendly policies Access to a Local Government Pension Scheme Discounted travel/parking passess Working hours : 36.5 hours per week Monday - Friday Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
