Electrical Design Engineer - London - £ Negotiable Contract Fusion People Recruitment is seeking a professional, self-motivated individual with proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal part in producing Electrical Designs in compliance with standards and CDM requirements. Job role: Electrical Design Engineer Location: London Salary: £Negotiable - 6 - 12 month contract JOB SUMMARY Produce effective designs, which conform to all relevant Codes of Practice and company and industry standards. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and company procedures. Complying with the requirements of the designer as determined by the CDM Regulations. A good understanding of network running arrangements as well as protection design at 132 kV down to 11 kV. PREFERED SKILLS AND ABILITIES Essential: A strong electrical engineering background, knowledge and experience in electrical engineering and power systems with emphasise on standards, design, operational & maintenance aspects of plant at 132 KV down to 11 KV, with at least 5 years of experience. A good understanding of network running arrangements as well as protection design at 132 KV down to 11 KV. A good safety culture and sound understanding of Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations and their application in this role. Knowledge of the ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001 procedures relevant to the team's activities; WORKING CONDITIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
