Compliance Officer Well established Mortgage intermediary packaging Residential, Commercial and But to Let Mortgages, is recruiting a compliance officer to make sure the company is conducting its business in full compliance with all national and international laws and regulations that pertain to the industry, as well as professional standards, accepted business practices and internal standards. Their objective is to ensure that the organisation has internal controls that adequately measures and manages the risk it faces. The Compliance Officer provides an in-house service that effectively supports business areas in their duty to comply with relevant laws and regulations and internal procedures. RESPONSIBILITIES Implement and manage an effective legal compliance program Develop and review company policies Advise management on the company’s compliance with laws and regulations through detailed reports Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations Regularly audit company procedures, practices and documents to identify possible weakness or risk To work closely with our direct business team director to conduct file checks, audits along with implementing any identified development needs Assess company operations to determine compliance risk Ensure all employees are educated on the latest regulations and processes Resolve employee concerns about legal compliance REQUIREMENTS 3-5 years proven experience in providing a compliance function in the mortgage industry Good knowledge of legal requirements and procedures Brilliant oral and written communication skills Highly analytical with strong attention to detail Excellent understanding of Excel On offer is a basic c 35k-40k, a great working environment and good future opportunity.
