Role Overview The Senior Business Development Manager reports directly into the Senior Management Team (SMT) and into the Deputy Managing Director within Regulatory Affairs part of the organisation. The Senior Business Development Manager is the lead person for business development for the procedural regulatory team, with an expectation that this person will successfully help to grow the organisation in line with Key Performance Indicators. The procedural team has a proven track record of providing high quality strategic and operational regulatory services for high profile pharmaceutical companies for the following product types in the UK, EU and International markets: Established products/licensed products Fixed dose combination products Over The Counter Products (OTCs) Generic Products Herbal products Specials Borderline medicinal products Main Responsibilities Your duties as the Senior Business Development Manager will be varied ; however , the key duties and responsibilities are as follows: · Identify and secure new client leads for the business through an agreed strategy with the Senior Management Team. · Actively grow the existing client business. · Be the first point of contact for procedural group leads coming into the business through the company website, telephone enquiries, emails. · Build good relationships with clients and develop an understanding of their requirements. Translating their needs into contract proposals that fit client and business needs. · Develop a good understanding of the company’s internal databases. · Agree and set up company contracts and associated documentation to complete consultancy works. · Working with the SMT to establish an agreed list of conferences to attend for the financial year. Maintaining the company conference planner. · Lead and contribute to marketing campaigns. · Keep up to date on company services, staff levels and time estimations for regulatory affairs offerings. · Maintain a strong awareness and working knowledge of company network of partners and affiliates to support proposed projects. · Capable of being responsible/coordinating contract tenders and vendor qualification activities on the company’s behalf.
