Job Description
Job Title: Senior Engineering Solutions Analyst Location: Harlow Main Duties + Act as the Subject Matter Expert and technical lead for Engineering Solutions incorporating Design Services, Configuration Management Services, Test Services and Production Services, with a particular focus on administering PTC Windchill PDM + Plan works with the Head of Service ensuring operational integrity and compliance covering information security, change management, asset management and software licensing. + Meet IS assurance, governance and policies to ensure we operate with confidence, through effective maintenance of secure and stable IT platforms for the business, adherence to company security, accreditation and audit requirements. + Lead troubleshooting of all related service issues including management of vendors to ensure service operates as expected. + Support the development and implementation of key service level agreements (SLAs). + Maintain Service quality levels, overseeing diverse and complex customer service events that require drive and focus to resolve. + Manage incidents, problems and changes to the service efficiently and effectively following the agreed and documented processes. Including planning the release of updates into service in line with technology roadmaps and demand management. + Maintain system documentation, support procedures and rota/cover arrangements with actively managed preventative upgrade cycles. + Support effective operational supplier performance and repairs & maintenance contracts, including software licencing compliance, software licence & support contract agreements and renewals. + Liaise with US counterparts to maintain alignment between UK and US platforms, leveraging global capabilities and licensing as and when available. + Support the provision of an Out of hours / On Call Cover service aligned to the rest of IT. 24x7 service cover by your service may be required, to deliver releases, fixes, enhancements and upgrades to major platforms + Carry out a programme of daily/weekly/monthly checks and develop approaches to improve, streamline and automate the health status of the environment. + Collaborate across the breadth of the IT function, develop strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure that the service is supported by the appropriate technical specialists. + Effectively manage own deliverables across Incident, Request for fulfilment, Work Packages and Projects and support peers in their planning, development and workload planning. + Champion (and chair as necessary) service and stakeholder reviews to ensure that technical views are balanced with stakeholder input + Ensure backup schedules & data retention and period maintenance are aligned to company requirements + Proactive Identification of risks to service and proposing suitable risk treatment plans in line with departmental approach to risk management + Agree and participate in scheduled BC/DR exercises, to ensure that service is tested and DR ready + Adhere to all the relevant and applicable policies and procedures in the department. + Deputise for the Head of Engineering Solutions where and when necessary. + Deliver cross functional improvement projects were applicable utilising the Raytheon 6 Sigma methodology + Summary of Role Raytheon UK has an opportunity for an experienced IT professional to fill the role of Senior Engineering Solutions Analyst within the UK Information Technology function. The function is responsible for the delivery of IT engineering solutions to all UK based divisions to successfully enable operational business and operational delivery. The Senior Engineering Solutions Analyst is accountable for managing the day-to-day operation of IT based tooling that underpins the business processes of Design, Configuration Management, Test and Production within Raytheon UK. Reporting to the Head of Engineering Solutions, the successful candidate shall manage, operate, improve, maintain and report the performance of the service. You will be operationally focused and will support optimal use of application technologies, driving to improve business efficiency, reduce risk and maximise customer engagement, both internally and externally. 160206
