Overview
This is a newly created position with an exciting start up business who are utilising data driven technology to transform the fishing industry across the UK and Europe. They are a well-structured and funded organisation allowing them to continue to grow their existing team with the addition of a talented UI/UX Designer . The key focus of this role will be to take responsibility for both user interface and user experience design whilst understanding the needs of the user and in turn your insights into attractive, customer-focused interfaces. The person in this role should have some commercial experience of graphic design, user experience and interaction design, and be confident enough to craft elegant and compelling design and bring hierarchy, affordance, and beauty to the interface. From a UX perspective, the individual in this role will work with the product manager, engineers to help design user journeys, layouts and experiences. Technical skills required are: - Demonstrable UX, UI design and development skills with a strong portfolio UX and User Research skills (task analysis, user journeys, personas, wire-¬framing, testing etc.) HTML5 & CSS (SASS, Bootstrap) Basic understanding of Javascript, Basic knowledge of React This truly is an amazing opportunity to join a company who can offer you a position of value from day one within the organisation and the chance to have a key role in creating a product which will help redefine one of the world’s oldest and most established industries.
