Overview
Would you like to work for exciting clients including a leading landowner and property company who own and manage mainly commercial properties in the heart of the West End? Working out of a Canarby Street office, this privately owned main contractor who has been successfully operating in the construction market for more than 30 years, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager, ideally from a Building Surveying background to work on small works and cyclical repair. Typical responsibilities will include preparing schedules of works for maintenance projects such as fire doors, communal staircases, and external maintenance with internal remedial works once the properties have been returned to the landlord. Alternatively work may also include small works such as a retail store strip out, refurbishment to 'white box' stage, and handover to an incoming tenant's contractor. The Maintenance Manager will be part of a small team, which will include a visiting quantity surveyor, multi-traders, and admin support. This team forms the recently established Maintenance Division for our East London/Essex based client, a main contractor who has built a successful reputation over the last three decades on enviable contracts up to £3.5 million in the commercial and residential sectors. Our client is keen to develop the division, although as it is working out of its leading client's office, work will initially be for this one renowned property owner.
