Paralegals - Fee Earners - Recoveries - RTA - Litigation - Small Claims - Fast Track - Top 20 law firm - Manchester We are looking for Paralegals or Litigation Executives with Small Claims or Fast-track litigation experience to join one of the UK's Top 20 law firms in Manchester. They are growing, and there is more than one post available in their Recoveries team. Following a Road Traffic Accident, the firm’s Recoveries team are instructed by insurance companies to determine liability and then recover uninsured losses and insurer’s outlay from third parties. They have been undertaking Recoveries work for a number of years and have a great reputation in securing many millions of pounds per annum for clients. You will work 35 hours a week (with flexible start & finish times) from their modern, high-rise office close to the M60, a Metro station and parking. The Rewards: Competitive starting salary negotiable depending on experience Bonus system Training bursaries Exceptional opportunities for career development 35 hour week Flexible working hours between 7am - 6pm Excellent holiday package (33 days pa. incl. bank holidays) Reduced gym memberships Main duties of the role include: Manage a litigated caseload Review third party evidence Obtain and draft witness statements Drafting court documents, proceedings and applications Issuing County Court proceedings Instruct Counsel Resolution of liability disputes Resolution of Quantum disputes Adhere to Court directions and deadlines Manage client expectations You will need to have: Previous experience within a similar role handling a case load ( Desirable) A knowledge or experience of RTA liability (Desirable) Previous experience working within the insurance sector (Desirable) Experience of working in a fast-paced environment ( Desirable) Ability to interpret and input data accurately and efficiently Ability to demonstrate initiative Professional and confident telephone manner Enthusiasm & self-motivation with a desire to achieve and exceed targets Ability to work in a busy environment & working well under pressure.
