Job Description
PGMBM Law, a young and vibrant global law firm founded in 2018 that has raised nearly $100 million in litigation funding to date. They are a unique partnership between British, Brazilian and American lawyers, passionate about championing justice for the victims of wrongdoing by big corporations. They focus exclusively on the Environmental and Product Liability sectors. ( PGMBM has a particular expertise in environmental pollution claims in Brazil and are handling claims related to the collapse of the Fundo Dam, the largest environmental disaster in the history of Brazil and one of the biggest legal claims ever filed in a British court. ( PGMBM is looking for a talented, ambitious Class Action Litigation Senior Associate to join their team. You will have the opportunity to work on high-profile, complex, group litigation claims against some of the worlds largest corporations represented by Magic Circle firms. Requirements You will Provide the highest level of client care in the management of client matters, whilst ensuring that files are managed effectively and complying with precedents, letters or documents on the case management system. Responsibilities will include: * Investigation of potential claims, producing memos for the Head of Department, instructing counsel and liaising with third party funders. * Overseeing financial aspects of matters including time recording, and debtor management in order to achieve your personal fee budget * Building relationships with internal and external parties * Ensuring that files are managed effectively, meeting set deadlines, complying with precedents, letters or documents on the case management system * Where required you will also delegate work to more junior fee earners and legal support staff to ensure work is completed in a timely manner and court, or other, deadlines are adhered to * Participating, with other senior fee earners in marketing activities including networking * This is a fantastic opportunity for a top-quality lawyer to join a forward thinking, full service law firm who embraces change.
