Overview
If you’re a Sub Agent or a Senior Engineer with highways experience, then this could be an option for you. I’m ideally looking for a Sub Agent that has a project background in either highway maintenance or rail minor civils. The key aspect is the lower value project experience that turn over at a higher rate than the larger multi-million-pound projects.For more information, keep on readingWhat’s great about this opportunity?This company operate as both a Tier1 and Tier 2 contractor, assisting larger companies on bigger projects and taking ownership of smaller packages of work. This gives you a unique insight to how different projects work. They are also well known for retaining staff members, ensuring everyone is happy in their role and meeting their development needs.You’ll mainly be working on highway maintenance packages of work, which will be made up of re-surfacing, drainage, 278 works and much more. Values will be lower and turnover of projects much higher than larger schemes of work.What can you bring to this role? You’ll ideally have a background in highway works, ideally smaller value higher turnover. We can also look at rail minor works experience as long as it’s lower values i.e. £100k - £5mCSCS, SMSTS site ticketsA qualification in Civil Engineering would be preferable: HNC, HND, BSc, BEng, DegreeThe ability to travel across the South East to site locations What will you be doing as Sub Agent?A normal day will involve monitoring site engineering activities, ensuring the site teams are keeping up to the site programme. Inducting the subcontractors will also fall under your duties, ensuring they hold the relevant training and qualifications. You also be involved in some commercial duties, contributing towards the cost plan & cost management for the highway projects.
