Job Description
Job summary In conjunction with the Design Manager - External Works, manage delivery of Traction Substation design to achieve a high quality, safe, compliant and timely design at the lowest achievable cost. Particular responsibility: Traction Substation works including shaft, tunnel and MEP / fit out, especially Design for Construction. Key responsibilities * Manage design delivery including technical assurance, ensuring scope is packaged to support construction programme, and deliverables are issued in accordance with the programme. * Develop the design to achieve a safe, buildable, operational and maintainable asset. In particular, engage the Construction Team and call on Early Contractor Involvement as applicable. * Maintain an uncompromising commitment to safety, and collaborate with Principal Designer HS2 Ltd. * Review and deliver major Assurance deliverables to Lead Design Manager / Senior Design Manager / Technical Assurance Manager for sign off. * Ensure key technical documents are reviewed and approved by appropriate colleagues including the relevant MDJV Technical Lead. * Where specifically agreed with the Design Manager External Works for
