Overview
Reed Finance are supporting an international Hi-tech business based in Harwell to recruit a permanent Financial Accountant.they The Harwell location is their Worldwide Head Office and they are a division of larger global group. – To support the Financial Controller in the job of keeping the organisational accounts to the highest professional standard, as well as to support any member of the organisation and/or partners with their financial needs. – Ensuring all statutory accounts and taxation compliance requirements are met. – Contributes to the development and implementation of the departmental accounting systems, policies and procedures. – Day-to-day management of the finance processing team (3 people). – Supports the department through the collection, processing, recording, reconciliation and reporting of financial data, verifying the validity, completeness and accuracy of source documentation. – Maintains complete and proper records of revenue, expenditure, assets and liabilities, and ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial information. Duties and tasks – Managing month-end activities including Group reporting, journals and balance-sheet reconciliations. – VAT return preparation & submission for the Group. – People management of the financial processing team. – Management of the annual Statutory audit process, including preparation of the statutory financial accounts – Cost Centre Management - Labour, Expenses & Depreciation. Cost Centre Reporting. – Payroll related month end allocations and ongoing cost code maintenance. – Assembling data for quarterly and annual Tax filings. – Maintaining Access and Approvals workflows, within the financial systems, including appropriate segregation of duties.
