Speech and Language Therapist (Adults - Acquired Brain Injury - SALT) Loughborough, Leicestershire Salary £35,000 - £40,000 per annum We are currently assisting a medium-sized, healthcare provider in recruiting a Speech and Language Therapist to assist patient rehabilitation in an Acquired Brain Injury unit. The unit is for adult males and females who present with frontal lobe damage or nervous system dysfunction as a result of a stroke, head injury or hereditary condition such as Huntington’s disease. The position is permanent and intended to be full time. There is space for 30 people on the unit, with most patients in need of rehabilitation and basic skills training before re-joining the community. Requirements of the role – - A degree or postgraduate diploma in Speech and Language Therapy - Experience operating as a Speech and Language Therapist (or trainee) - HCPC registration - Ideally, but not essential, experience with individuals with ABI and associated behavioural difficulties - Experience working within a Multi-disciplinary team - Training/qualification in Dysphagia (not essential) The company have an aggressive expansion plan for their mental-health services division, so this is an excellent time to come aboard and grow your responsibility in line with the growth of the company.
