Want to know more about HMP Long Lartin? HM Prison Long Lartin is a dispersal prison in the long term and high security estate. It holds up to 621 Category A and Category B male offenders convicted of some of the most dangerous and serious offences in the country. It has the largest segregation unit in Europe. There is an 8 bed inpatient unit which includes a constant watch and end of life cell. The prison is operated by Her Majesty’s Prison Service. In return for your hard work you will Receive an annual salary of up to £45,000 FTE - depending on experience. Other benefits include cycle to work scheme plus training and clinical development opportunities, travel allowance. What do we need from you so you can do the job? You will be a qualified Registered Pharmacist- BSc or Master’s Degree in Pharmacy, holding registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). You will have a real passion for developing your own Pharmaceutical skills and those of your team. You’ll have a flexible approach working within a team that encourages new ideas. If you are self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as showing plenty of initiative when it comes to handling a wide range of situations, then this could be the right role for you Experience of working in a secure environment would be beneficial but not essential. The post holder will be responsible for the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high quality prison pharmaceutical service. Working closely with the Head of Healthcare and the multidisciplinary team the post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the provision of service meets the contractual obligations. The role also involves responsibility for providing daily expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensuring that a safe but modern medicines management service is provided to prisoners.
