Overview

Full-time, 9-12-month Fixed Term Contract, Payroll Administrator, £23,000-£25,000, Bristol. Your new company A food manufacturer are looking for a Payroll Administrator to work within the Payroll Team, who manage weekly and monthly Payrolls. In the next year, the Payroll Team aim to improve their service, which includes improving the quality and relevance of information and improving the team's efficiency. You will ensure that all payrolls allocated to you are processed in a timely manner. You will also deal with all queries with sensitivity and compassion. You will be required to contribute your thoughts and ideas towards system improvements and projects, to ensure successful implementation. Your new role You will be reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, working on a large payroll. You will provide excellent customer service to all customers, at all times. You will process all incoming payroll information and transactions, to include new starters, leavers, tax codes and National Insurance category changes, as well as absence and statutory leave and pay. You will process all weekly and monthly variable pay instructions, including bonuses, shift allowances and overtime. You will produce and submit all BACs as well as HMRC RTI and auto enrolment pension files. You will produce and deliver high quality payroll files to customers, to include payslips, reports and KPIs that relate to their particular payroll. You will deal with correspondence to employees, sites and external parties, such as overpayment recovery letters, Benefits Agency/ Child support requests for information, financial references. You will contribute improvements to existing processes. You will ensure that all controls are operated in the correct fashion. What you'll need to succeed You will need strong payroll experience. You will preferably have experience of running weekly and monthly payrolls. It would also be beneficial to have experience of running payrolls across multiple geographical sites. You will have excellent customer service skills, as well as the ability to see the bigger picture. You will have exceptional attention to detail as well as excellent communication skills. You will be an analytical thinker and have the ability to problem solve. You will have strong experience of Microsoft Office packages, including excel. You will have up to date knowledge of Payroll legislation, and a commitment to staying informed and up to date on any changes. What you'll get in return This position comes with a salary of £23,000 to £25,000 per annum, depending on experience. The company provides 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
