Overview

External Service Lead - £37,849 per annum Your new company Southend Borough Council is a unitary authority based in the heart of the town centre offering traditional seaside living that makes it a great place to live and work. The Council are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and innovative External Service Lead to manage the deliver to all IT sites and field service support to the Council including sites, schools, libraries and traded services. Your new role This exciting new job opportunity gives you the autonomy to exert strategic leadership over the Field Services Team to ensure that high quality customer focused services are provided across the all Council's sites. As External Service Lead you will oversee the workflow of incident and service requests and ensure that these are maintained at a manageable level. This is a new position that allows you to be proactive and build positive working relationships across all sites with both customers and stakeholders. Effectively you are developing and managing stakeholder relationships and in turn heightening and enriching the customer experience by meeting expectations in delivering valuable projects. You will be a leader, a coach and a mentor in providing guidance to your new team. What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this position, it is important that you have experience of managing a team of IT Field Services Engineers and a solid technical understanding of IT products such as Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems, Server Hardware, Virtualisation, Exchange/Office 36, Azure, Security Solutions, Switches and Routers and Backup technology.
