Accounts & Audit Senior / Accounts Senior - Medium Size Firm

BV Recruitment Ltd ,
London, Greater London
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £45,000 per annum

Overview

Are you a fully qualified ACA Accounts & Audit Senior (Or an Accounts Senior looking for another a role with no audit) looking to work for a very good quality, medium sized City based accountancy firm and carry out a varied role depending on your experience - an Accounts & Audit Senior role if you have audit experience or an Accounts Senior role if you don’t have audit (or don’t want to carry out a role with audit). Depending on your experience, your role will be mainly accounts based (70%) with an element of corporation tax and a small amount of audit work (no more than 30%). Based in a general practice role in a firm with around 50 staff, you will be responsible for preparing statutory accounts for a wide range of clients, as well as corporation tax computations. You will also have the opportunity to prepare management accounts for some clients. You will deal with client queries, technical research, HMRC queries and also be responsible for supervising juniors and reviewing their work. You will also be responsible for carrying out a number of ad hoc projects and assignments on behalf of clients (including business valuations, cashflows, budgets, forecasts, due diligence etc). Your role will be varied, challenging and hugely enjoyable with great progression prospects to manager grade on offer. In this new role, you will gain exposure to a wide range of UK and international clients, including groups, from sectors including media and entertainment, property, legal, technology, retail and other interesting sectors. The firm would look at a recently qualified ACA, or someone with some post qualification experience. They would also consider a good quality ACCA from a small or medium firm background. This firm has had great success with people who have trained around the UK and want to relocate to London. Experience of Caseware would be an advantage but training will be provided if necessary. To be considered for this new role you must have at least three years experience, probably in a small or medium size accountancy firm with between 3 and 15 partners, and be fully ACA qualified (either newly qualified or with a few years post qualification experience). First time passes are highly desirable. You must have experience of preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, supervising juniors and ideally managing clients. Experience of audit is not essential and training can be provided. Experience of a wide range of software packages, including Caseware would be an advantage. A strong interest in a role mixed between accounts preparations and tax returns is essential. You must be well presented, be a team player, and be looking to progress at a rapid pace. The firm welcomes applications from candidates looking to relocate to London from another UK based practice firm. This growing accountancy firm has a great reputation for being a friendly and supportive place to work and providing their staff with challenging and varied roles. You will work in a friendly and growing team, and you can expect to work on an interesting array of high profile and growing London based clients as well as international clients. The firm is growing at a rapid rate due to many new business wins from larger accountancy firms. This is a unique opportunity for an ACA qualified Accounts Senior (or Accounts & Audit Senior) to join an entrepreneurial and forward thinking practice and play a role of great importance to the continued growth of the firm. It is also a great opportunity to progress to Manager level in a short space of time.
