Interim Company Accountant / Bookkeeper | Sheffield | up £32,000 The Opportunity Longstanding, traditional SME (circa £3m turnover) in Sheffield have an urgent requirement for an experienced Company Accountant / Bookkeeper to join them on a 9-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. This is a great role within a friendly working environment working alongside a highly approachable MD. This company has a fantastic success record along with an impressive customer base. You will be the key finance person for the business. Your role will be broad and encompass all aspects of the day to day financial management for the business. Your remit will include: Management accounts preparation Month end accounts prep VAT Bank Reconciliation Balance sheet reconciliation Accruals and prepayments Cashflow reporting / cash management Supplier payments/ statement reconciliation Weekly payroll for up to 20 people Purchase ledger/sales ledger The Business requires As Company Accountant you will be: Immediately available to begin a fixed term contract of 9 months minimum Experienced as a Company Accountant / Finance Manager / Management Accountant within a smaller business or subsidiary previously. IT competent (ideally experience of Sage 50 and Sage payroll software) and good knowledge of Excel. A hands-on approach and willingness to get stuck into the 'nitty-gritty’.
