Strip and Fit, Mechanic MET Technician Oldbury £32,000 - £45,000 Permanent Role, Bonus Paid Monthly, Overtime Available, Pension, Private Health Care For More Information please call Callum on 07834197962 MET Technician / Strip and Fit - We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced MET Technician Mechanic, Strip and Fit - from either bodyshop or Accident repair background, to join a leading accident repair group who are going through an exciting growth period. With a very low staff turnover you will find our client to be a fantastic employer . They are also winners of numerous prestigious awards. This job role is a Skilled MET Technician position and requires an experienced candidate who can complete all panel repairs to accident damaged vehicles. ATA, NVQ 3 or IMI 3 qualifications would be a distinct advantage. The Job: MET Technician / Strip and Fit · Remove & refit mechanical and electrical trims / panels / components on vehicles · Carrying out all necessary mechanical and body work on allocated jobs · Dismantling vehicles ready for the panel shop · Carrying out inspections, fault-finding and diagnostic work · Ordering replacement parts · Re-assembling the vehicle with new parts as required to pre-accident condition · Strip and fit of bodywork and trim work · MET duties · Follow manufacturer repair methods to return vehicles to pre-accident condition · Fault finding / Diagnostics · Wheel Alignment and tracking · Mechanical and Electrical · To dismantle and reassemble damaged vehicles in accordance with the prescribed repair method · Ensure that stripping and rebuilding work of all vehicles is carried out in a professional and correct manner and that final quality checks are undertaken in line with applicable standards · Ensure that all jobs are completed within the estimated times · Check that all parts are ordered as per estimate, to ensure that the repair can be completed without delay, returning all unused parts to the parts department for credit · Awareness & adherence to all necessary standards and H&S procedures · This Strip / Fit M.E.T Technician should also have the following experience and qualifications: Job Experience Required: MET Technician / Strip & Fit / · City & Guild Level 3 (or equivalent) in Automotive Bodyshop Repair · Previous Bodyshop M.E.T experience is essential · Strip and fit and trim experience · Rebuilding bodywork on damaged vehicles in a bonus bodyshop Mechanic / MET Technician / Strip & Fit- In return you will be offered: · Basic Salary of £25,000 - £37,000 · Time Saved Bonus – Good Estimates Given OTE £45,000 per year · Same Rate on bonus hours as basic rate · Clean Bodyshop Environment · Latest Bodyshop Equipment · Continuous workload of repairs · 22 days holiday · Training and Development · Job security · Pension · Awards Based on a 40 hour week - Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm - We have days available.
