User researcher, Bristol, 3 month initial contract, £500 a day Your new company A leading public sector organisation based in Bristol. Your new role The User Researcher is a key member of a digital multi-disciplinary team. They provide user insights that will inform the design decisions made throughout the Agile process from pre-Discovery to go live. These insights will cover users' behaviour, motivations, and end goals and will be aligned by the User Researcher with organisational strategic objectives. The User Researcher works autonomously to plan and lead the user research. They influence service proposition, align user research activities with wider plans adopting a user centered approach. The User Researcher works closely with stakeholders and agile development teams to design, deliver and implement new digital services for the public and health professionals. They lead the design, management and execution of user research (qualitative, quantitative, collaborative, online and usability research) with both the public and relevant professionals. Following user-centered design principles the user researcher will ensure that user needs are at the forefront of the design process. What you'll need to succeed Experienced and appropriately qualified in User Research Skilled in research question/objectives definition in collaboration with internal research sponsors and the translation of these into research design Skilled in the use of user-centred design practices Experienced and appropriately qualified in User Research Skilled in research question/objectives definition in collaboration with internal research sponsors and the translation of these into research design Skilled in the use of user-centred design practices Experience of research design and proposal writing in which the research design closely maps to the research objectives. Experience in quantitative and qualitative research activities such as: sampling, questionnaire design and analysis, interviews, ethnographic observations, facilitating workshops, focus groups and other types of group discussion, managing stakeholder engagement sessions What you'll get in return The opportunity to work for a highly respected and sought after organisation, and enhance them with your skills, knowledge and experience.
