Overview
Job Title: Corporate Accountant Reporting to: Financial Controller Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 and full study support Job type: Permanent Our client is a global leader in ship management and marine services, operating around the clock and around the world. The role will be based in Central London and the successful applicant will be one of the key members of the Finance team reporting to Financial Controller. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance of general ledger for corporate entities Preparing bank reconciliations Preparing balance sheet reconciliation Posting monthly standing journals Recharging corporate costs as necessary Updating FX database Coding invoices Maintaining intercompany loan schedules Assisting with preparation of Corporate MIP Assisting with HFM balance sheet mvmt schedules Assisting with business partnering for corporate cost centre owners Monitoring corporate accounts payable inbox, setting up new suppliers and chasing approvals Complete UK VAT Returns Requirements: 2-3 years previous experience in a finance function Part-qualified or finalist ACA/CIMA/ACCA Solid knowledge in basic accounting (e.g. double entry) IT literate with skills in Excel Knowledge and experience in systems such as Danaos, IMOS and Oracle is an advantage Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic & busy office environment being a part of a team Highly organised, able to prioritise and effective time management Hands on and meticulous person with attention to details and accuracy
