Overview
Name of Executive Head Teacher: Dayo Okunlola Salary: £27,000-£31,000 pa Hours: Full Time 35 hours per week, Term Time working Giving Special Needs Children a Future Through Education Your School: We offer full time education and short-term day respite placements for children with statements and Education and Health Care (EHC) plans, usually on the autistic spectrum, or with social, emotional or mental health needs. Learners come from diverse settings; many have a history of disrupted and /or limited schooling. Southover Outreach Service (SOS) is part of Southover Partnership. The outreach service provides tailored one-to-one and group tuition in school or at home as well as transition services commissioned by schools or local authorities. We have a strong ethos of supporting continuous development of staff. The Post: We wish to appoint a suitably qualified, hardworking, enthusiastic and successful education practitioner with experience of provision for vulnerable youngsters either in or outside schools. The successful candidate will ideally experience of working in a school or similar setting, with a clear understanding of safeguarding procedures. The role will predominantly involve coordinating the provision and overseeing academic provision for vulnerable students whilst liaising with colleagues within our partnership, as well as with LAs, external agencies, other schools, colleges and parents / carers. The Person: You should have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of monitoring progress through use of data and assessment information and good ICT, managerial and organisational skills. You will have an excellent understanding of how to design bespoke packages for children with a variety of SEND. The successful post holder must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with children, staff and parents. You will have an excellent understanding of how to demonstrate the impact of your work and the work of your team.
