Overview

I’m looking for a Scrum Master to join a global leader in Data Analytics based in their Warrington office. The Scrum Master will work closely with technology and business stakeholders on project planning, leading Agile/Scrum teams, championing continuous improvement and partnering with the Project Manager in the responsive delivery of solutions. You will play a key role in contributing to the emergence of a healthy and effective Agile Practice and serve as a mentor and coach for project and portfolio teams. Key Responsibilities Develops a clear understanding of projects within the program portfolio, leads scrum teams with a clear understanding of business and technology context and develops an understanding of cross-program portfolio synergies and dependencies. Drives the Agile-driven segments of complex, cross-functional, enterprise projects, leading multiple high performing teams. Works independently, without the need for day-to-day guidance. Runs multiple scrum teams simultaneously. In partnership with the Product Owner, mentors/coaches scrum teams on user story sizing and acceptance criteria definition, facilitates the definition of minimal viable product and leads continuous refinement and prioritisation of the product backlog. In reference to Agile best practices and learning from previous projects, establishes the scrum framework for the project and secures scrum team and management team working agreements. Drive development of the release and sprint road-maps. Leads sprint planning and task definition, sprint execution, impediment removal and tracking, sprint review and retrospectives. Partners with project and release managers in production deployment activities. Ensures that Agile-related project reporting, such as burn-downs and status updates, are relevant, transparent and add value. Inter-office travel required (2-3 times per month). Summary of Experience 5 years’ experience as a Scrum Master in an IT or software development setting Basic Qualifications Scrum Master Certification (desirable). Experience in leading Agile scrum teams on complex, data-driven software projects. Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities. Ability to ‘read the room’, to know what is possible and what is not and to know how to navigate strategic planning discussions and scrum ceremonies efficiently and effectively. The salary for the position is £60,000 plus 1-2 days per week working from home, flexible working hours and a strong benefits package.
