About this opportunity The Gleeds Energy team has over 25 years` commercial management experience in the power generation industry, within Power Generation, Nuclear, Oil and Gas, Renewables, Petrochemical and general engineering/manufacturing. Gleeds Energy have a number of exciting and challenging opportunities, based in Warrington. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: You will be a high-performing `self-starter`, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who will be part of a team providing support to key clients in a full range of related services in the following areas: Pre-Contract o Procurement strategy development and drafting pricing mechanisms o Cost Planning o Preparing Works Information o Collating Invitation to Tender Packages o Managing tender queries / returns and down selection process o Negotiation and award of contracts o Business case and stakeholder management support Post-Contract o Valuations o Contract management o Risk management o Contract change control o Cost Management and reporting o Attending / leading project and commercial meetings As a Gleeds team member, you will have access to: o Opportunities to develop and grow your career as a training, learning and development professional o 24 days holiday plus option to purchase additional days through the holiday purchase scheme o A contributory pension scheme o Employee Assistance Programme o Our global travel scholarship programme o Flexible working arrangements Who we’re looking for: We are looking to recruit ambitious, highly motivated Quantity Surveyors, Commercial Managers and Procurement Advisors, from Assistant through to Associate grade. Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills We are seeking candidates with experience in the services stated above, experience in the Nuclear / Civil engineering sectors is desired but not essential. Candidates will have a broad spectrum of technical knowledge relating to Cost and Commercial Management - ideally both pre and post contract. Experience of standard forms of contract, including the NEC suite, and Public Contract Regulations 2015 may be beneficial, but candidates personal and communication skills, ambition, drive and energy will be considered more important to be successful. Qualifications Applicants should be HNC or Degree qualified in a Quantity Surveying / Cost Management, Construction Law or similar discipline. For the Senior opportunities, Professional qualification and/or membership of the RICS, CIOB, ICES, CIPS or other relevant Chartered Institute will be required. These opportunities will require Security Clearance.
