Overview
THE JOB · £25,000 - £32,000 PA · Permanent position. · Based in the Rotherham area. · Responsible for the management and supervision of outsourced production. · Report weekly on KPI metrics which will include efficiency / productivity / cost of labour / cost of production / lead time. · Optimising project and resource requirements. · Reducing production cost and increase productivity across all product lines. · Enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrity. · Optimising sub-contractor cost vs. in-house production cost. · Work in collaboration with Purchasing and Warehouse Managers. · Minimise cost of quality and material wastage. · Uphold company’s high-quality standards and ensure in line with ISO accredited standards. · Uphold company’s health and safety standard with zero accidents. · Inspire and motive the production team whilst upholding discipline and accountability. · Optimising staffing levels for maximum productivity and minimal downtime. · Show decisive and quick decision making. · Gain maximum performance out of employees. · Minimise stock of components of finished goods, whilst delivering in line with the customers’ requirements. THE PERSON · Must have proven experience as a production planner, would be beneficial to have 5 years’ experience. · Will have leadership and interpersonal skills, would be beneficial to have 2 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity. · Must have excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles. · Will have project management skills. · Must have experience in resource planning. · Must have a good understanding of mathematics and statistics. · Will have strong organisational and problem-solving skills. · Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Sage. · Will have excellent communication abilities. · Must have working knowledge of Health and Safety and Environmental regulations. · Must have experience in reporting on key production metrics.
