Overview

Energy and Environment Assistant Atherstone £31,600 Our client, a globally recognised food retailer, is recruiting for an Energy and Environment Assistant to join their Corporate Head Office based in Atherstone. This role will involve supporting the Energy and Environment Manager to deliver the clients Environmental Sustainability Strategy. The topics will include energy management, climate change & carbon, water, data & reporting, and compliance. In addition, the successful candidate must possess a degree qualification in a related subject , have 1 -3 years’ experience in an environment/sustainability related role and must have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for sustainability. The role will involve: Manage energy and environment projects requiring coordination with internal and external stakeholders Collaboration with different departments across both national and international departments, in addition to a number of external consultants Build and manage stakeholder relationships in order to help drive the client’s environmental sustainability strategy Managing own time to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines across a variety of projects. This will include providing updates and seeking sign off from the Energy and Environment Manager at regular updates Advise on improvement opportunities and manage follow-up implementation Maintain, analyse and interpret related data, records and information The successful Energy and Environment Assistant must possess: Degree level qualification in environment / sustainability related topic Master’s degree in environment / sustainability related topic (desirable) 1 year in environment / sustainability related role Climate change & carbon, energy management Able to prioritise effectively - managing multiple projects at once Able to build strong relationships both internally and externally Strong attention to detail and tracking of costs / savings Able to work to tight deadlines and be flexible to business requirements Able to plan ahead with a strong sense of personal organisation Have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for sustainability Enjoys working as part of a dynamic team Willing to 'go the extra mile’ At Inplace Recruitment we believe it is people that make the business succeed, the right people, expertly placed in the correct positions.
