Postdoctoral Researcher, Energy Smart Buildings and Communities 31,866, rising annually to 34,804 Full Time, Fixed Term - Researcher The overall purpose of the post is the Implementation and day-to-day running of the EPSRC funded Energy Revolutions Research Consortium (EnergyRev) Plus project on user influence tools and Innovate UK funded Local Energy Oxfordshire (LEO) projects. This post is offered on a full time, fixed term basis for 24 months. You will be responsible for: * Implementation and day-to-day running of the EPSRC funded Energy Revolutions Research Consortium (EnergyRev) Plus and Innovate UK funded Local Energy Oxfordshire (LEO) projects * The Co-design and prototype a suite of smart interactive tools that visualise spatially and temporally local energy flows and interdependencies * Gathering locally specific GIS based data that enables these tools to run in local energy demonstrators * Evaluating the new tools for their effectiveness and inclusiveness * Undertaking high resolution local energy mapping of Oxfordshire to strategically identify future local energy projects * Preparation of papers for publication and making presentations at meetings and/or conferences * Undertaking formal responsibility fo teaching activities as part of the curriculum, that may be agreed with the Head of the Research Group and in line with any Funding Body's rules/regulations e.g. tutorials, practicals. You will assist as named author in publication of research, where the quality could be REF returnable, assist other researchers in the Research Group (e.g. student, visitors) as required and contribute to the research culture of the school. As Postdoctoral Researcher in Energy Smart Buildings and Communities you should have: * A higher degree (MSc/MPhil/PhD) in architectural engineering, building services, architecture or similar discipline * Experience of undertaking building performance monitoring and/or user surveys * Experience of undertaking analysis of big datasets * Experience of designing and analyzing appropriate research tools, eg questionnaires and interviews * Advanced knowledge of smart low energy systems in buildings and communities * Good written and verbal communication skills.
