Support Workers Wanted £8.72 per hour plus excellent benefits £9.77 per hour for Relief positions Various positions available in Darlington, Newcastle and North Tyneside. What we do Simple it's all about supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs or physical disabilities. We want to make sure that the people we support can lead independent lives and live in the community in the ways that can sometimes be taken for granted. What you can expect to do The role of Support Worker is really varied, it can be anything from helping individuals to learn and develop life skills such as cooking and cleaning to helping with personal finances, shopping and attending health appointments. Our person-centred approach means that the people we support are the ones who decide what they do. What we need from you We are not looking for specific skills or experience in adult social care, the most important thing is that you are passionate about helping others. We would also need you to have a Driving Licence so that you can accompany some of the people we support in any outdoor activities or trips. We will give you certified training and help you to develop with on the job training giving you everything you need to know to be part of our dedicated team. Some of our roles will involve weekend and evening work, as well as sleep in shifts (which you will be paid for) this means flexibility is essential but the rewards for yourself and the people we support are worth it.
