We have partnered with Alzheimer Research UK to raise awareness about dementia and loneliness in our communities. We all like telling stories but our life before 2004 is mostly stored away in attics and cupboards. Telling those stories makes people feel happy and the older people are the more of their lives is not digital today. We unlock that potential in stunning visual ways. With Eppik you can print beautifully designed photo albums, frame photos and create other photo gifts. You will work closely with the founder to design photo books, photo gifts and geographic maps highlighting places people have travelled to or where they celebrated an event. You will work on other design tasks such as designing product packaging, catalogues, newsletters and various online material. Role & Skills: We are looking for a talented designer with a love of books/ magazines/ geographical maps and data visualisation. Design photo albums and templates for print and digital. Eppik photo albums feel like a personal luxury magazine, with uncoated papers, beautiful typography and impactful design not usually associated with the photobook market. Select typography to complement story telling style of albums across all age groups and event types. Design beautiful geographical life maps of travels, events and family history using GIS software and other sources. Design end papers and dust jackets. Create new illustrations for book inners based on photobook stories. Curate external illustrations and other material to complement photobook stories.  Design data visualisation dashboards to summarise events and family history. Branding and packaging design for suite of Eppik products. Liaise with developers and data scientists to integrate design into code. Liaise with printing team to optimise, photo quality, paper types and colour profile settings to maximise print quality. Send files for print. Fluent in Adobe CC (Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator). Fluent or good working experience of ArcGIS software or similar to design maps. Love of maps, typography, photography and illustration. Communicate with design community to build ecosystem of illustrators and other designers to create library of templates and styles. Uphold Eppik values of respect, honesty and excellent customer service in all dealings with clients, partners and colleagues. Some experience in motion graphics and video editing a plus. Driven by social enterprise a plus.   Potential: Eppik has fantastic momentum and this role can scale to a senior position: locally, nationally and internationally We are launching in the UK but we have had interest from clients all over Europe, Australia, Canada and the US; so basically the model can scale You need to feel comfortable in a start-up environment and be very hands on. Working closely with the founder, product and marketing team. Possibility to grow role nationally and internationally to lead growth of design community. Excellent performance will be rewarded with role in the future direction of the company. Flexible working hours from the outset. Working location West London but remote position can be discussed.
