About The Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join the Portfolio Analytics team within Credit Risk. The role would require you to take a lead role in the technical delivery of Analytical project that support and deliver a number of key objectives of the Credit Risk department In this role you will work closely with other Credit Risk teams such as Capital & Impairment and Lending Policy, as well as with other areas such as Finance, Collections and New Lending. As a Senior Credit Risk Analyst you will work with a degree of flexibility in delivering new analytical insight and reporting solutions while ensuring accordance with all relevant Society policies, procedures & standards - including compliance with all regulatory pronouncements will also be a key part of the role. As part of this role you will also be expected to: Produce monthly portfolio management reporting relating to new lending, book profile and arrears together with regulatory and external returns Produce ad-hoc reporting to support lending policy changes and to ensure that we remain aware of any changes in the credit risk outlook of the mortgage portfolio Take a lead role in summarizing and presenting results and recommendations by developing and delivering presentations or clear and concise papers that consider regulatory and strategic factors in addition to internal stakeholder views and impacts with an audience of Senior Manager and Executive level. Support the development of others through coaching, support and sharing best practice About You In your current or previous roles you will have gained experience of working with a high degree of autonomy in an analytical environment, ideally within Credit Risk. You will possess a proactive approach and a desire to continually seek improvements to processes, and a willingness and aptitude to learn new systems and further your existing knowledge. The ideal candidate will be degree qualified in a relevant subject and have advanced skills in using Microsoft Excel as well as be experienced in using statistical and reporting packages such as SAS or their equivalent. Knowledge and experience of programming e.g. in SAS or SQL would therefore be an advantage.
