IBA Accounts Assistant- Fenchurch Street area- £30,000-£35,000 Your new company A small Lloyds of London insurance broker based in the heart of London City. With a real family feel and a small finance team of 3 this provides a great working environment for staff leading to their high retention rates They deal primarily with middle eastern business and work with some very big clients despite their size. They pride themselves on their strong service they provide to clients. Your new role This is a broad role within the finance function reporting into the Finance Director. You will have responsibility over IBA and general ledger accounts. Duties: Responsible for a portfolio of NST accounts including reconciliation of client and underwriter ledgers, liaison with relevant parties, credit control and resolution of queries. Responsible for the operation and control of the Bureau accounts, including the correlation of all daily signings and resolution of queries. Responsible for NST cashiering, including the processing of receipts and payments, correlating entries, preparation of payments and the maintenance of the NST cash books. Responsible for reconciling each NST bank account throughout the month, ensuring all queries are satisfactorily resolved. When necessary, prepare month end solvency reports and ensure paid brokerage is withdrawn appropriately. Monitor the de-linking system to ensure all paid premium is released to underwriters on a timely basis using Quickbooks and ensure invoices are paid on a timely basis.Accounting & Settlement.
