Overview

AJ Chambers are pleased to be representing a leading mid-tier accountancy practice based near excellent travel links in Central London. This is a unique role that would suit someone in a similar position, either within an accountancy firm or legal practice, or someone who trained as an accountant and is now seeking more of an administration role. The Role As Practice Manager you will be involved in a wide range of duties including handling internal accounts, producing financial / management accounts reports for partners, as well as office manager and HR duties. Day-to-day duties include: Handling firms internal accounts (Staff payroll, Partners expenses, Internal banking, Petty cash) Producing internal financial / management accounts reports for Partners Handling all HR & Legal matters (support will be provided) Office manager duties, handing all administrative duties (Landlords, Insurance, GDPR, etc.) - This includes supervising and taking responsibility for all admin and support staff MLRO - Money laundering rules relating to new client procedures, suspicious activity reports etc. Lots of bodies follow these rules from banks, solicitors down to motor and art dealers when accepting cash (training can be provided) Compliance with client money regulation - This is supervised by the ICAEW and would parallel solicitors’ rules who also handle client money Direct management of the Payroll department The Candidate Given the nature of this position, the firm is considering candidates from a variety of sectors, including legal, finance and accountancy. The main requirement for the role is to possess a wealth of experience in a similar position and training can be provided within certain areas.
