Overview
Senior Developer (C#Vb.net/VB6) We have a new requirement for an experienced Senior Developer to work on a mixture of legacy and new systems within a Microsoft environment. These are exciting times for the business and due to growth they are actively recruiting for an experienced Senior Developer who is happy to maintain and enhance legacy systems whilst also wanting to assist in the migration of these legacy systems towards a more modern technical stack. Technically you will need to have a strong background in developing either in vb.net, vb6, VBA and have a strong background in developing in C# and Azure. You will also need to have knowledge of the following: WebApi, JSON, REST, Angular, Typescript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, SQL Server (SQL/Stored Procedures), GIT, SVN, Jira. Key responsibilities: Develop new systems and maintaining existing systems Analyse and diagnose issues/bugs in existing systems Perform unit testing Evaluate existing applications and identifying areas for improvement Work alongside testers to ensure new functionality is working to specifications Attend daily stand up, participating and contributing to peer code reviews Mentor junior developers This is a new role within the business where you will be working as part of a team. You will need to be able to work on your own initiative and be passionate about technology and what you do.
