Overview

An excellent opportunity to work for a high profile Lloyds Undewrirters in the Cty, as a Catastrophe Modelling Assistant within the Exposure Management Team, the company seeks a person with good numeracy (A level Maths ideally) and analytical abilities coupled with excellent attention to detail. There is a possibility of this developing into a permanent position as it is initially a 6 month contract, the company seeks a person with strong numeracy and analytical abilities coupled with excellent attention to detail. The primary objective of the role is to provide support to the catastrophe risk modelling services to the underwriting function. This includes completion and accuracy checks, peer reviewing outsourced work and account modelling for underwriting and pricing using internal and external modelling platforms. The role will also participate in the wider functions of the Exposure Management Team. Checking completion and accuracy reports, prioritising workload and making appropriate corrections. Running and reviewing validation reports, identifying bad data and cleansing accordingly. Working closely with outsourcing partners, peer reviewing their work, answering queries, providing required information. Reviewing the data presented in underwriting submissions and requesting improved information where the required data standards are not met. Interpret slip terms and conditions and convert these in to a format suitable for the catastrophe modelling systems. Utilising various Exposure Management and Catastrophe Modelling systems to process exposure data and produce modelled outputs. Providing analysis and insight into the model outputs to underwriters at both an account and portfolio level. Working closely with the Senior Catastrophe Modeller and underwriters to understand the team's priorities and deadlines.
