Overview
A versatile and experienced Software Engineer is required for exciting and expanding business based in Rochester, Kent. Your role will be to develop, design, test and code the Software and Firmware for Electronic products using C, C++. Paying up to £65,000 plus a good benefits package including Pension, Bonus. Your duties as a Software Engineer will include: Developing Software for Microprocessors and other hardware using C / C++ / Assembler. Working closely with R&D to develop new software in C and C++ that fits requirements Upgrading and improving current software including de-bugging and testing. Providing accurate software documentation and record-keeping Work closely with all functions to ensure the highest standard of product Provide customer support to clients in relation to all software issues. This is a diverse Software Engineering role and you will be able to bring a background in developing software in C and C++. Knowledge of Microchip PICs with MPLAB X and XC8 compilers would be highly useful. Understanding protocols such as CAN, RS232, SPI, Ethernet TCP/IP and USB will help in your quick familiarity with the products.
