April 2020 Start Full time long term role Summer Term contract Borough of Wandsworth 2 Form Entry Primary school Good OFSTED Report £65 to £75 per day depending on experience Academics LTD are currently working with this fantastic Primary school in Wandsworth to recruit a Primary Teaching Assistant to work with a child with SEMH in year 6. The child has a huge passion for sport and the school are keen to incorporate this into his Educational Health Plan to help improve his behaviour and find a constructive way to release excess energy. The role will be to work as a one to one learning mentor every day and ensure that that the child is following his EHP and staying on task in class. The child has a brilliant personality and is good natured so it will be a fun, rewarding role where you will have the opportunity to help prepare a Year 6 with their final term in Primary school and build the confidence to start Secondary. This role would suit a person with either a Level 3 Qualification working with children or be a graduate who has an interest in sport or perhaps looking for experience working with children before applying for teacher training. You will need a "can do" approach to work and want to make an impact. Full training will be provided but experience working with children would be beneficial. The school offer a fantastic working environment, with a well-run SEN department. The school has a good OFSTED report and children and staff are very proud of their school.
