Overview

Our client is a hugely successful distributor of world class OEM machinery to the UK's manufacturing sector and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Service Manager. The successful candidate will join our client's busy team at their office in Rugby. The Role: Reporting to the directors you will lead all customer service, sales and field engineer support activities. Managing a small team in the office and co-ordinating the field service engineers you will liaise with customers to ensure "first class" effective customer service. Duties will include but is not limited to the following; Plan, manage all field service installs and maintenance activities Order, dispatch spare parts ensuring accurate inventory levels are maintained Manage and improve the customer service team Develop and maintain robust relationships with customers Identify and implement process improvements throughout the department Promote and encourage a more sales focused approach within the customer service team Motivate, train and develop the customer service team Ensure effective sales support quotations, tenders etc etc Budget and financial control Weekly monthly reporting and KPI's Candidate: You will be an experienced customer service manager with exceptional leadership skills. Ideally you will come from technical or engineering background. Applicants who have worked for original equipment manufacturers or in engineering will have advantage though not essential. Highly motivated, tenacious and sales focused you will demonstrate aspirations for development and long term career progression that this opportunity presents.
