Overview
We are a registered social landlord and looking for an experienced Maintenance worker We are looking for an experienced multi-skilled person to join our maintenance team on a permanent basis and assist with the up keep and improvement of our hostels in SE London and South London . Key role/responsibilities ·Assist the Operations Manager to undertake maintenance works and projects around the buildings ·Types of work include:- -Carpentry -Painting & decorating -Minor electrical and plumbing repairs -Moving people and furniture around the buildings -Other general maintenance tasks Skills / Requirements:- ·At least 3 years’ experience working in a multi-skilled role of maintenance work ·Ability to work both in a team and on own ·Excellent customer service skills - polite, friendly and helpful ·Excellent communication skills, including spoken English ·Punctual and reliable, with good organisational skills ·Able to work on your own and as part of a team ·Fully comprehensive 5 year work/education history . Fully UK or EU driving license Hours 40 hours per week - (Monday to Friday).There will be a need to work some weekends (primarily Saturdays) to undertake work that cannot be carried out during the working day. Ideally, you will be willing to be a secondary keyholder, able to attend emergency call outs to the building at night or weekend - these are infrequent but happen occasionally. The ability to be a keyholder is desirable but not essential. Salary competitive and dependent upon experience. Please send your CV with Cover letter and Certificates.
