My client is looking for an experienced Senior .NET Systems Developer for a Greenfield project building a brand new Azure portal from the ground up, having complete ownership, so you can fully flex your pure .NET artistry. The position is based just outside of York, for a dedicated Software company, meaning the whole company really like software and lots of it. So if you like greenfield's and software, and you have high level .NET skills i.e ASP.NET /API's etc not necessarily Azure this is for you. Main Duties and Responsibilities • Development and maintenance of Cloud Management Platform • Development and maintenance of customer facing and internal dashboards • Integration of business toolsets • Automation of reoccurring and repeatable tasks • Automation of customer reports • Adhere to change management processes. • Understand, adhere to and promote IT security best practises. • Driving efficiencies across the IT Services department • Ongoing creation and revision of system documentation • To always be willing to carry out any other reasonable request. • Adhere to asset and access management policies and procedures. Required Skills • Ability to prioritise work, with minimum supervision and use initiative to ensure that deadlines are met • Translate business requirements into technical requirements • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team • Strong attention to detail in the creation and revision of technical documentation • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Excellent customer service skills • Excellent problem-solving skills • Assertive, confident, positive and professional manner • High degree of multi-tasking • Flexible and adaptable as the business demands • Ability to work under pressure • Must have a “can do” attitude at all times Personal and Team Development • Identify training needs or requirements for yourself • Comply with all company, department and customer policies and procedures to include attending team meetings and completion of administrative tasks • Responsible attitude towards British Standard ISO27001 – Information Security and ISO20000 – IT Service Management Desired Technical Knowledge: • C#, .Net Core, ASP.NET programming experience • A good understanding of XML, XSLT and JSON file formats (including manipulation of datasets) • Knowledge / awareness of REST API access techniques (including authorisation methods) • Visual Studio experience • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash or Python • Experience developing solutions in line with major Public Cloud Technologies (Azure / Amazon Web Services) • Hands-on experience working with relevant example technologies including Terraform and Github. • Experience applying sound DevOps principles, architecting and building cloud-based CI/CD solutions • General understanding of current Infrastructure and Application services based both on-premises and cloud. • Ability to contribute towards the continuous improvement of services through technical input and roadmap ideas for service improvement • Knowledge of working with operational service requirements and demonstrate ownership for aspects of delivery into "live" including documentation standards, monitoring and alerting, automation and self-healing components • Implementation experience with demonstrated integration understanding • Promote and drive an automated approach to hardware and software delivery This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89850288
