Overview

You’ve got an in-depth understanding of mental health issues and substantial experience of working in a community based setting. All you need is the perfect environment to put your skills to great use. Welcome to Richmond Fellowship as a Service Manager. Right now we are looking for someone like you to manage the day to day running of our East Surrey Community Connections Service. We offer one to one appointments to individuals with a mental health problem; in addition our Community Links Advisors encourage individuals to set goals and take practical steps to reach them. They will also offer support to overcome any barriers that they may encounter. These goals could include accessing community activities, wellbeing groups, education, training, voluntary work or access to other health and wellbeing services. We also work in partnership with other organisations such as The WEA, The YMCA and Sport in Mind to run various wellbeing courses, support groups and physical activities. The postholder will also have responsibility for our Redhill Safe Haven service which operates as a safe place for anyone experiencing a mental health crisis. The service runs 365 days a year 6pm – 11pm and offers a relaxed environment for everyone in need of support. You will be required to work some weekends and evenings as required. Your role is to support and manage the teams using your firm but inclusive management style. You’ll also have experience of managing a complex caseload. You’re open and encouraging too, and have lots of tact and diplomacy. What's more, you're great at managing conflicting priorities on time, have a flexible attitude to working hours and are willing to participate in on call arrangements. And, if you have experience of carrying out investigations, writing reports/recommendations or managing budgets, even better, although it's not essential. There may be an opportunity to do a job share in the event that we receive two suitable applications. The salary for this post is £26,612.00 per annum.
