Overview
UI Designer, UX Designer – Wakefield, Leeds (West Yorkshire) Candour have been engaged by a thriving boutique software house based in Wakefield to source an accomplished UI Designer, UX Designer to work alongside their thriving development team on a varied project portfolio of web and native mobile apps, websites and intranets. Their offices are easily commutable from Leeds with ample on-site parking. Key Skills/Experience: Sketching, producing wireframes and creating interactive prototypes Confident using Photoshop & Illustrator to create the design concepts/assets Creating and presenting the visual look and feel of high-fidelity designs Experience creating scalable HTML & CSS and implementing with a responsive methodology Although by no means essential, any experience with any of the following would be useful: CSS pre-processors Sass & LESS JavaScript Experience with the frontend side of the .NET framework (MVC) Branding design The role: My client is looking for a UI/UX Designer that has a passion for problem solving, challenging UX interactions, and creating intuitive interfaces to meet user needs. The ideal candidate should have commercial experience working on projects beginning in the early sales process, meeting with clients and users to gather requirements, present ideas and validate concepts. Prototyping is essential across various levels from sketching, interactive tools such as Balsamiq mockups and HTML/CSS. You will be responsible for working with the development team to implement the prototypes and UI design into the functional system. You will work closely with all parties involved in projects, from the client and users, business analysts, project managers and developers throughout the lifespan of the project. You will be responsible for leading the design direction in both projects and internally looking to adopt new technologies and methodologies.
