Overview
Would you like to work with the internationally recognised and market-leading Volvo Construction Equipment brand? If so, we have an excellent opportunity to support the SMT GB HR Department. An experienced and confident generalist is required to undertake the following duties on a 1-year fixed contract to support line managers with: Advice and guidance on best practice and company policies to get the best out of their teams. People issues such as capability, disciplinary and grievance resolution including managing complex cases. Recruitment, including defining interview questions and objective selection methods. Performance appraisal. Developing management competencies. Essential Skills CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent. At least 5 years' experience in a busy generalist operational role and proven experience of dealing with complex ER issues. Excellent written and verbal communication. Strong organisation and prioritisation, alongside a sense of urgency, which doesn't compromise effectiveness. Coaching and influencing skills.
