Role: Branch Manager / Assistant General Manager Salary: £45,000-£55,000 (negotiable) plus bonus plus career Location: West London Product: Building Materials / Construction Supplies / Insulation Materials We are recruiting a key position for our client - one of the UK's leading distributors of construction supplies and building materials. We are recruiting a Senior Assistant Branch Manager. Although it is a No.2 position it is at Branch Manager level and is a senior position within a huge operation with a management team reporting into you. We need to find a Branch Manager type with trade sector experience working within the building materials / construction supplies sector. Builders Merchant, Distributors, DIY sectors. About the company Our client is the UKs leading distributor of building materials and insulation products with a network of branches nationwide. What's the opportunity? You will be the No.2 running a large 25 person operation with a turnover of £15m per annum. The branch is a successful depot that is currently performing ahead of target. Working closely with your Management Team and Area Directors, as Branch Manager / General Manager your role is to continually improve the profitable sales and margins within the branch, as well as developing a highly customer focused, results driven team. We need to find someone with experience managing a large team and large budget within an understanding of the construction supplies sector and the route to market. Someone who is commercially astute and very people focused but also with experience of maintaining a high level of Health & Safety. Our client is looking for a truly dynamic Manager who excels at building and developing strong and profitable commercial relationships. Who will take ownership of the position and looked at a long term business plan, horizon gazing and succession planning. What skills do I need? Proven experience of branch management within the builders merchant or construction supplies / building material distribution sector? Management experience within insulation or commercial interiors or associated construction products, construction sales? Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills? Ability to communicate confidently at all levels Strong people management skills Health & Safety experience Strong knowledge of interior building products, insulation or heavy side building materials Successful track record of branch management within the construction supply sector - Are you a Branch Manager within the Construction Supplies sector?
