Quality Systems Lead Global Food Manufacturer- Manchester/ Oldham £50,000 - £55,000 per annum, 10% bonus Our client, a global food manufacturer, are looking for a Quality Systems Lead to join the business as their site based locally to Manchester. This is a fantastic chance to join an industry leading business who have a proven record of developing their people in future leaders The Role Reporting directly to Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Systems Lead will also be focusing Food Safety and be responsible for governance of Quality Systems (QS) and food safety (FS) programmes within a manufacturing site to ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, customer & third-party requirements. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Provide governance and lead proactive continuous improvement of quality systems (and all related documentation), food safety, food defence and relevant QS/FS training programmes Implement Quality and Food Safety policies set by Corporate and EMEA Technical Teams at the site and provide support for the development and continuous improvement of these policies. Manage the HACCP programme for the site ensuring Responsible for the management of the internal audit programmes and pro-actively lead continuous improvements where necessary Responsible for the management of all technical third party and customer audit programmes. Manage corrective action programmes to ensure appropriate handling, response and resolution of internal and external audits. Responsible for the management of complaints including technical support for the investigation and implementation of appropriate corrective actions, maintenance of customer and corporate portals, publish monthly KPIs and trend data. Manage relevant quality and food safety training programmes for the site CANDIDATE PROFILE The business will be looking for proactive and career driven Quality professional to help drive the continue success of the function. The key criteria for consideration will be as follows; Expereinced Qulaity systems professional (or expereince within a similar role) gained within the Food Industry Strong food industry expereince is essential Ideally have managed/ supervuised people or teams Proven influencing skills, preferably in a factory-based environment Practical experience in managing HACCP systems Qualified Lead Auditor (or equivalent) Strong IT/ systems skills Educated to HND level or above in an industry related subject would be preferred If you are interested in this excellent opportunity then please apply now
