The Enabling Programme is a major transformation programme working to integrate finance, HR and supply chain data, processes, policy and systems to support the One Pearson vision. It is supported by Pearson Executive Management. Role overview & Purpose This role is part of the Payroll Centre of Expertise, within the Employee Experience functional area of responsibility within the HR Function. Reporting into the Global Payroll Director it is a pivotal role in ensuring the successful use and growth of the Backoffice solutions that power the HR function and Payroll within Pearson. The Continuous Improvement SME role is fundamental to acceptance and adoption of Global Payroll Processes, functionality and Integration, to drive simplification within Pearson and provide a Global, standard operating model. The role will work in partnership with the HR Global Process Owner and Transformation Teams, the HR function, supporting the Global Payroll solution. Key Deliverables + Develop strategy to drive Payroll data quality across Global Payroll solutions, using control mechanisms, systems and reporting techniques + Manage global / local Employee data list, including Employee data standards and pick lists, ensuring fit for purpose to support Payroll Processes and use of conditional calcs as far as possible + Ensure 100% Payroll data integrity by leading Employee Payroll, by Country data community with mandatory data calls, data clean up and regular reporting on data quality + Ensure all Countries comply with the agreed Payroll Data Model + Join Pearson Data quality forums, providing input and advice to support broader Pearson's data quality agenda + Understand and assure Employee data protection and privacy in line with standards agreed across Pearson, for Payroll and associated HR systems deployments and operations + Cultivate relationships and align across Pearson to assist creation of Data Dictionaries and Data models to drive standardisation of Payroll data journeys within Pearson + Collaborate with HRIS System Analysts and HRIS Data & Reporting Analysts to ensure that data entered in Pearson solutions is sufficient for reporting + Translate business process requirements into the Data model and ensure compliance to Payroll mandatory data modelling + Produce compliance reports and strategies for Global Data model and functional compliance for HRSLT, supporting all HR CoE plans and deliverables + As part of the Reporting needs, compile and deliver Training and encouraging staff to maintain data models in compliance with Reporting requirements. + Collating Payroll data to facilitate its interpretation and use within all relevant Payroll and associated 3rd Party solutions (example, Pensions). + Checking and cleaning data, taking special care to replace erroneous values with correct figures to ensure Reporting needs are maintained. + As the Reporting lead, Analysing data, with due consideration for the influence of missing information, outliers, plus confounding and extraneous variables. + Reporting on insights obtained, which might be utilized to inform business strategies. + Consulting on areas of uncertainty to promote optimal use of ideas derived from data.
