Overview

Our client has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Resource Manager to progress the firms resourcing strategy. You will build on an established work allocation structure and be a driver of resource management implementation and adoption across the remainder of the firm. This truly global role is likely to require occasional travel to some of the offices across the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific in order to promote the operational effectiveness of resource management and drive change. Key Responsibilities Act as a trusted advisor to the Partner group and be the main point of contact for all resourcing requests and queries. Continue the adoption of a work allocation function throughout the firm. Present to partners groups and associates in new areas, promoting the benefits and highlighting successes already seen in other groups. Drive change through the creation and adoption of processes bespoke to each team whilst also creating a uniform work allocation strategy Provide regular updates to the Chief Operating Officer and Industry Group Leaders regarding the progression of resource management within the groups. Optimise the allocation of work and the deployment of staff based on pipeline, utilisation and fee earner forecasted capacity. Highlight trends to partner group and advise on potential deployment. Work with fee earners in all locations to help ensure matter portfolios are aligned to individual career development needs and interests, where possible. Engage with HR to ensure this is aligned to any individual promotion opportunities within the firm. Creation and distribution of regular data reports and management information to share insights and trends with partner group. Assist partner group and HR with recruitment advice surrounding skills gaps and capacity / utilisation trends. Key Skills & Experience Required Prior experience in work allocation or resource management, ideally within the legal industry, large professional services or a corporate environment. Strong commercial and business awareness Outstanding communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Strong client focus. Proactive and adaptable, able to work on own initiative. Excellent IT skills. Experience working with resource management software. Ability to implement pragmatic work allocation solutions.
