We are very excited to be looking for an Assistant Accountant to join the Emily and Fin team. The Assistant Accountant position is an 'end-to-end’ role, covering all aspects of finance within the business. It is key that the Assistant Accountant role candidate is highly adaptable and willing to undertake the all-encompassing role that will evolve with the team and company. Working in close collaboration with the Financial Controller and wider team your role will involve the following, not exhaustive, list of key tasks and responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: Nominal/general ledger management (multi-currency) Tracking, recording and monitoring expense claims, including Credit Card expenses Tracking and recording bank payments, receipts and reconciliations Tracking and recording E-Commerce payments and reconciliations Tax data reporting/Intrastat/VAT and EEC Sales List Debtors and creditors control and monitoring Production of agent commission statements for review Assisting with cash-flow monitoring and forecasting Input to the budgeting and forecasting processes Assisting with the Year-end process including calculation of pre-payments & accruals Insurance and 3rd party contracts Reconciling Balance Sheet Accounts Candidate requirements: AAT qualified, ACCA/ACMA part qualified or qualified by experience (minimum 2 years) Experience of, or interest in working for a SME company, covering all aspects of finance Sage experience preferred (L50) Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels Excellent attention to detail Strong data interrogation and analysis skills An interest in the fashion industry would be an advantage Excel Skills including Pivot Tables We are looking for someone who is organised, self-motivated, confident, positive and flexible with a problem-solving approach, and who can work well in a small team. Time management of tasks is critical.
