Overview
We are currently looking for a motivated social care manager to take the reigns of a well organised and passionate team of fostering social workers. An excellent opportunity for an experienced manager with a background within fostering and children in care to further their career and make there mark on this developed service. The service has made big steps forward with stable leadership over the past few years and now is looking for a new leader to continue to develop the service. You will be providing leadership to operational Fostering and Placement teams, you will determine priorities, assess needs and safeguard children to promote positive outcomes in line with national standards. Within the Fostering Team you will oversee the assessments of foster carers, Special guardians as well as 'connected persons’. You will also be responsible for the oversight of a contact service. In initiating and delivering strategies and plans, you’ll work closely with other areas of children’s services and with partners and other agencies, ensuring that performance expectations are known and understood by all. The position is based in the Swindon region with the office located in Swindons Centre. For those that are looking to relocate… relocation package up to £8,000 is available. A golden handshake of £4,000 is also offered.
