Children's Support Worker SCE Group Children's Support Worker – Kettering (NN15) Duration: Days or Nights Salary: From £9 per hour Company Benefits Looking for a new challenge within care? Want to work Supporting those with Learning Disabilities? SCE Group are looking for experienced Care Workers to work within a 6 bed children’s home registered with Ofsted. You will be working alongside other permanent staff members to provide to support children and young people aged 6-17 years with learning disabilities, complex needs and challenging behaviour. The Job Role: •Deliver high standards of care and support to the children, ensuring their physical, psychological, emotional and recreational development •Supporting with daily routine needs. •Providing personal care •Going on days out with the clients for example swimming, shopping etc. •Helping with the financial side of things for example their bills •Help with the cooking and cleaning where necessary •Working 140 hours per month across varied shifts between 07:30-21:45, including every other weekend. The Job Requirements •Minimum of 1 years’ experience working with LD in children. •Ideally experience working with non-verbal individuals and have an understanding of communication methods. •Experience with challenging behaviours and experience of use of physical intervention. •Level 3 in Health and Social Care/Residential Child Care would be desirable but not essential as we will put them through this qualification.
